As a non-profit children’s museum, Great Explorations relies on your generous support to operate! Every dollar donated allows us to continue offering museum access for ALL children in our community, ensuring that low income and at risk children have equal opportunities to learn through creativity, play and exploration!
Great Explorations provides opportunities for low income, disadvantaged children through school field trips, memberships and passes, educational outreach activities, camp scholarships and special events—all free of charge.
Donations cover over 50% of the museum’s operating costs each year. There are many different ways for you to become involved, and in doing so, change children’s lives.
Restricted and Unrestricted Gifts
Gifts of any size may be made to the museum. Donors can choose a specific program to fund, or the gift can be made without restrictions (the museum will allocate the funds where they are needed most).
Sponsor and Exhibit
Individuals and organizations can sponsor a new or existing exhibit at the museum. These sponsorships contribute directly to our mission to stimulate learning through creativity, play and exploration. Sponsorship of an exhibit shows a commitment to the community and created meaningful exposure for a company as a unique marketing opportunity.
Donations of tangible property are beneficial to the everyday operation of the museum, such as donations of equipment, services, art supplies, and other items.
Planned Gifts and Bequests
Donors can make an impact by making contributions through gifts of life insurance policies, annuities, bequests, transfers of stock, and many other gift options.
Special Event Sponsorship
The museum holds one major fundraising event each year, The Great Extravaganza, with the support of sponsors and volunteers. Whether committing to a monetary sponsorship level, or donating an auction item or service, there are countless ways you can become involved in making our event a success!
