Our team is immensely grateful for your patience and support as we navigate this unprecedented circumstance together. We wish you and your families good health, and we look forward to seeing you at Great Explorations Children’s Museum soon!

Great Ex At Home

Whether you’re visiting the museum or spending time at home like we are now, we hope Great Explorations can be a resource for your children to learn through play and exploration!

Your family can continue learning, discovering, and imagining at home using tools and resources available on our newest online platform, Great Ex At Home! The site offers a mix of virtual and downloadable games, activities, books, and videos designed for children of all ages. Additionally, you can find resources to help guide conversations about the coronavirus, which can be a challenging topic to explain to kids.

Looking for more activities for your children? “Blow Off Some S.T.E.A.M. Kits” are now available for purchase at Great Ex At Home! Our new kits feature interactive activities and items to engage kids and families at home. All items in the kits are new/cleaned before packaging. No need to leave your house— the box will be shipped to you! Shipping is included in the cost.

Soon, educational toys from our Exploration Station Gift Shop will be available for sale on our website as well. These will also be cleaned before packaging, then shipped to your home. Stay tuned!

Deep Cleaning and Renovations

While we’re away, the museum is undergoing a bit of a makeover! Our team thoroughly cleans the museum every day, but we’re using this quiet time to do a deep clean of all hand-held toys, surfaces, and floors. We’ve even painted the walls!

We’re also in the middle of two very exciting exhibit renovations! Our exhibits team is working on constructing The Great Exploratorium, which will feature the STEAM Laboratory, the Raymond James Stage, an Inventors’ Studio, and more interactive spaces for you and your family to learn through play. Our team is also working with Publix Supermarkets to reimagine and upgrade My First Market!

We’re hard at work making the museum look its best for the next time our friends can visit Great Explorations!
