Celebrate New Years with Great Explorations! 🎉
Ring in the new year with some fun festivities and celebrate the stroke of noon with Morris and tons of confetti! Be sure to come in your most festive attire for the occasion!
This will be a big celebration, so expect to hear some loud noises.
Our New Years at Noon celebration is $12 for museum members and $18 for non-members.

Great Connections: A Free Program for Families with Special Needs
December 10th | 10:00am – 12:00pm
Our Great Connections program occurs the second Sunday of every month and includes a “cool down” room for families who need to take a break.
This month, our Great Connections program has a winter wonderland theme!
This program is FREE and sensory friendly for children with special needs and their families. Great Connections is a free program all thanks to Guardian Trust.

Winter Hygiene Drive

From December 1st through December 11th, Great Explorations will be accepting donations for the Winter Hygiene Drive in the front lobby.
Donating any number of these essential items means a world of a difference to those in need.
Together, we can create a cleaner, healthier, and happier community.

In partnership with our friends at Gulf Coast JFCS, Great Explorations will have an Angel Tree in the front lobby from now through December 11th.
Please take an ornament with a child’s wishes and bring it back to Great Explorations with your unwrapped gift.

Terrific Tots is Back!
Tuesdays & Thursdays at 10:30am
Terrific Tots is a 30-minute program available to members for $10 and $20 for non-members.
This program offers a more intimate and hands-on experience for prepping your soon-to-be preschooler!
In this program, children ages 1 to 3 years old can engage in reading, music, and engaging activities that help them develop fine motor skills, provide sensory experiences, and encourage self-expression.Learn more here!
Mondays & Wednesdays at 10:30am
Super Sprouts is a members-only, free interactive 20-minute program designed especially for children ages 1 to 3 years old that incorporates reading, music, and take-home activities that bring adults and children together in a love of literature, the arts, and science.Super Sprouts themes change once a month and this month’s theme is the First Thanksgiving! Participation is limited to 25 Tots and their caregivers each day.
The program is currently on Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:30 am in the Steam Station. There is no charge for members.

December 6th | 5:30pm – 7pm
Every first Wednesday of the month from 5:30pm–7pm, adults (15 years old+) with neurodiversities and memory loss can come and play at the museum free of charge. We will modify lights and sounds, and will provide a “cool down” room for families who need to take a break. Connect with your family, with other families, and with resources in the community!
**Although this is a sensory-friendly event, we still encourage guests to bring additional sensory support (ie. noise-canceling headphones, a favorite stuffed animal)**
