Space Exploration Day

August 5 @ 10:30 am - 4:00 pm

Lift off with Great Explorations for our Space Exploration Day! We will welcome guest speakers, Museum of Arts and Sciences astronomy educators from a portable planetarium, and a glow-in-the-dark face painting artist to celebrate viewing the Webb Telescope images together.

The James Webb Space Telescope (Webb) is the largest, most powerful and complex space telescope ever built and launched into space. NASA and its partners want to share the experience of the Webb Space Telescope’s first images with all the kids at Great Explorations! We’ll be using this unique opportunity to ask some of humanity’s biggest questions: How does the universe work? How did we get here? Are we alone?

Journey through the universe with us while we explore the night sky! In our planetarium, kids will travel through a world of knowledge that includes astronomy, geology, physical geography, and more. This all-day event is available at no additional charge to regular and member admission. We can’t wait to see you for this momentous event!

Great Explorations’ members can get early VIP access from 9:30am–10:30am!

This includes an additional session inside the planetarium, plus Morris the Explorasaurus will be there during this exclusive member-only timeframe! Space is limited, so reserve your spot here: https://explorations-station.myshopify.com/pages/booking
