Winter Wonderland (Member-Only Event)

Join us for this special member-only event, Winter Wonderland! Kids can build a snowman, play a game of penguin bowling, create some original works of art with a fun technique called ice painting, and more! Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Great Connections:
A Free Program for Families with Special Needs
January 8th | 10am – Noon
January’s Great Connections will be very bubbly! Our community partner will be Florida Diagnostic & Learning Resources System (FDLRS) Gulfcoast. We hope you will join us on Sunday, Jan 8th for lots of bubbles!
On the second Sunday of every month, Great Explorations Children’s Museum will close to the general public from 10 am-12 pm and open for families with special needs to come and enjoy Great Connections, a sensory-friendly event. Great Explorations will modify lights, sounds, and provide a “cool down” room for families who need to take a break. Each month, the program will offer new stimulating activities and themes for everyone to enjoy. Great Connections is now a free program all thanks to Guardian Trust.
Theme Day
January 27th | 10:30am – 4:00pm
Shoot for the stars at our Space Theme Day this month! Friday the 27th will be filled with everything SPACE, at no extra cost to admission. We will make telescopes, paint craters on the moon, create our own constellations, and more! Click here for more info.
Morris Workshop – Inspect the Insect
January 21st | 1pm – 2pm
Join us on Saturday, January 21st, with Connie Nye of Sweet Water Organics! Using demonstrations, songs, and games, Connie will teach you all about the wonderful world of ecosystems and insects.
