Great Ex Goes Green – Members Only Event

Great Explorations Members are invited to join us before the museum opens on Sunday, April 19th for a special Earth Day celebration! We’ll learn about conservation and caring for our planet with unique activities from 10 am-12 pm. Special guests from Sunken Gardens, Green Thumb Festival Committee, and the City of St. Petersburg Compost Division will also join us to share their knowledge! Click here to RSVP (required).

Toy of the Month

Did you know that research has linked increased arts education to increased academic, social, and emotional outcomes in children? Seriously — you can read all about it here! To help foster your child’s creativity and bring the arts into your own home, we’ve got Rock Painting Kits and Window Mosaics Kits available for 25% off through March at our Exploration Station Gift Shop! These unique craft kits are a fantastic outlet for children to use their imagination and showcase their artistry skills at home during National Craft Month — all while developing their social, emotional, and academic skills! Click here to learn more about these craft kits, plus an interesting perspective from local pediatric psychologist Dr. Audra Walsh.

Donor Spotlight

We are thrilled to highlight our friends at J. Thor Productions for our March Donor Spotlight! J. Thor, who specializes in audio, visual, lighting, set design, and more, has provided us with all our A/V needs for our fundraising events for the last six years. Not only do they make sure we have what we need as far as equipment, but they also run the night of show for us as well. Last Great Extravaganza, Nick even served as a last-minute Emcee for the evening during our Live Auction. Their attention to detail helps bring our night together and make it a huge success! Thank you, J. Thor!
