Theme Day – Saint Patrick’s Day

March 17th | 10:30am – 4pm

Feeling lucky? We will have some Saint Patrick’s day themed crafts and a pot of gold sensory bin throughout the day. These themed crafts are free with the cost of admission. Remember to wear green!

March 24th | 10:30am – 4pm

Shoot some hoops with us for this B-Ball Madness theme day. Create your own miniature hoop and basket, decorate some sneakers, and make a museum exhibit bracket! These theme day activities are free with the cost of admission.

Morris Workshop – Lights, Camera… ACTION!

March 25th – 1pm

Paul Fegan is an Actor’s Equity performer who is known for his voice work and being part of the Murder Mysteries section of American Immersion Theatre Company in Florida. He has been a storyteller for over 50 years who has traveled internationally teaching and coaching theatre skills. This Morris Workshop will focus on overcoming stage fright, how to be comfortable in front of an audience, and how to improvise. Join us in welcoming Paul to Great Ex!

This Morris Workshop is a free event made possible by Suncoast Credit Union.

Morris Workshops are monthly events at Great Explorations that welcomes upper elementary school students and their families to be part of a more in-depth learning experience.

Great Connections – A Free Program for Families with Special Needs

March 12th | 10am – Noon

This month, Family Network on Disabilities will join us for paper bag puppet making! The Family Network on Disabilities has been a Parent Training and Information Center (PTI) for over 35 years. Learn more about the services they offer here.

**Although this is a sensory friendly event, we still encourage guests to bring additional sensory support (ie. noise cancelling headphones, a favorite stuffed animal)**

Target Circle

This is the final month to vote!

To cast your vote for us, download the Target app and create an account or log in. Select your account icon and then tap on the box labeled Circle. Welcoming Wednesdays

Every First Wednesday of the Month

Every first Wednesday of the month from 5:30pm–7:30pm, adults (15 years old+) with neurodiversities and memory loss can come and play at the museum free of charge. We will modify lights and sounds, and will provide a “cool down” room for families who need to take a break. Connect with your family, with other families and with resources in the community!

We love STEM! We encourage you to think “out of this world” and create space rocks that are inspired by the beauty of our endless galaxy. This activity is funded by the If/Then foundation, and will be happening twice a week.
