Come celebrate National Grandparents’ Day with us!

This National Grandparents’ Day, grandparents get free admission to the museum!

Calling all artists! Come join us on September 29th for a fun day of creative and exploratory art!

Unleash your inner artist with engaging activities and show us your creative skills.

This event is included with general admission, and there are no additional fees required.

Great Explorations has a Little Free Library in our lobby that since October 2022, has supplied thousands of books to our local and visiting families.

This library is a great source of pride for us but we are in low supply.

If you or anyone you know have any books they wish to donate, please feel free to bring them to our admissions desk.

September’s monthly reciprocal means double the play!

For the entire month of September, Great Explorations members will receive free admission to the Glazer Children’s Museum in Tampa!

This month, our Great Connections program will be Earth themed!

This program is FREE and sensory friendly for children with special needs and their families. Great Connections is a free program all thanks to Guardian Trust.

Super Sprouts is a members-only, free interactive 20-minute program designed especially for children ages 1 to 3 years old that incorporates reading, music, and take-home activities that bring adults and children together in a love of literature, the arts, and science.
Super Sprouts themes change once a month and this month’s theme is fossils! Participation is limited to 25 Tots and their caregivers each day.

The program is currently on Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:30 am in the Steam Station. There is no charge for members.

Terrific Tots is a free 30-minute, members only program.

In this program, children ages 1 to 3 years old can engage in reading, music, and engaging activities that help them develop fine motor skills, provide sensory experiences, and encourage self-expression.

Every first Wednesday of the month from 5:30pm–7:30pm, adults (15 years old+) with neurodiversities and memory loss can come and play at the museum free of charge. We will modify lights and sounds, and will provide a “cool down” room for families who need to take a break. Connect with your family, with other families and with resources in the community!

**Although this is a sensory friendly event, we still encourage guests to bring additional sensory support (ie. noise cancelling headphones, a favorite stuffed animal)**
