great Connections Spring Fling
April 10th, 2022 | 4:30pm–6:30pm
This is a FREE event for families with special needs! Come to the museum and take part in a scavenger hunt! Get a professional picture taken with the sensory-friendly Easter Bunny.
We’ll also have a petting zoo hosted by the Animal House and they’ll teach your child how to gently pet animals. It’s important to teach your child how to interact with all animals, not just pets, from an early age.
Special Theme Day – Nature Walk
April 29th | 11am–3:30pm
Join us for an exciting day filled with wildlife and conservation stations. Children will learn about endangered species, pollution, cleaning efforts, plant development and more!
Take a stroll through nature and wildlife with some fantastic shows like critter encounters, bean sprouting, and cleaning up the ocean. Learn about animal tracks, beach cleanups, and the wonderful world of plants!
All About Animals – Morris Workshop
April 30th | 2pm–3pm
We are excited to welcome Dr. Learning and members of his team from Bayshore Animal Hospital and Avian Practice to lead an in-depth workshop on animals of all types, from dogs to ducks. Get all the details here.

As part of our local reciprocal program, Great Ex-members can receive free admission to visit The Florida Aquarium in April! Hoppin’ Hunt and Hoopla
April 9th | 4–6pm
The Daddy Kool Patio will be filled with our fabulous giant toys and games for kids of all ages to enjoy and at 5pm they will open up the store to the younger members of the community to participate in a good old fashioned egg hunt. The Daddy Kool DJ will be rockin’ a bouquet of fresh Spring beats so be prepared to get on up and boogie down. This is a FREE community event open to all. Midtown Community Youth garden
Help your community by attending our FREE 8-week program throughout May to September! Learn how to grow your own fruit, vegetables, and herbs in our urban Florida environment with an emphasis on companion planting. Experience exciting presenters from local businesses, colleges, and farms such as Keep Pinellas Beautiful, Living Roots Eco Design, and Eckerd College.
This program is for middle school-aged children ages 12-15. To be eligible you must live in the following zip codes: 33711, 33712, 33705.

SPCA Tampa Bay Pet Walk

The SPCA 31st Annual Pet Walk is tomorrow! We’ll be down at St. Petersburg’s North Straub Park on Saturday morning with our trailer full of toys for the kids so stop by and say hello. Join us for the all the fun, rain or shine!
