World Rainforest Day

Join us Sunday, June 22nd as we shine a spotlight on the wonders of the rainforest with a special critter encounter featuring our very own Pumpkin the Crested Gecko!

Pumpkin has been part of our animal collection since 2022 and is a proud ambassador for rainforest reptiles. Native to the lush rainforests of New Caledonia, Crested Geckos like Pumpkin are expert climbers thanks to their sticky toe pads, which help them scale trees and shrubs with ease. They thrive in humid habitats and feel right at home when the humidity hits 70–80 percent!

Here’s a wild fact: Crested Geckos don’t have eyelids! Instead, they keep their eyes clean and moist by licking them with their tongue. Pretty cool, right?

Come say hello to Pumpkin in the Creativity Corner and celebrate the magic of rainforests with us!
