World Turtle Day

Join us on Friday, May 23rd for a shell-abration of World Turtle Day at Great Explorations! Meet our resident turtle, Snakey, and our friendly tortoise, Jack, during special animal encounters happening throughout the day. Guests will learn all about turtles and tortoises—what makes them unique, how we care for them, and how we can help protect their habitats. The fun continues with hands-on crafts, educational activities, and turtle-themed games across the museum floor. It’s a day full of discovery and appreciation for our slow-and-steady friends, and it’s all included with general admission!
